Garden Charity UK

"Garden Charity UK" has been set up in the UK to support victims of the Great Eastern Japan earthquakes which occurred on March 11th 2011.

We believe that gardening, or we could say horticultural therapy, is an innovative treatment method using plants and plant-related activities to improve the social, educational, psychological, and physical adjustment of an individual, thus improving our body, mind and spirit.

The charity has been closely involved with the ‘3.11 Garden Charity’ and also ‘Green Fields’, based in Japan, helping the stricken towns of the Tohoku region to re-build green areas destroyed on March 11th 2011.

We succeeded in raising funds as a result of the garden entitled ‘Japanese Reconstruction: the Garden of Hope’ at RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2012 which has already been passed on to '3.11 Garden Charity' for building Flower Meadow in Iwate, Japan.

We look forward to sharing future fundraising opportunities with you.
